2024 Plains Peanut Festival | Sept 28, 2024
The Plains Peanut Festival is fun for all ages. Join thousands of visitors for activities that include a road race, fun run, folk play, all day entertainment, Kiddie rides, arts & craft vendors, food vendors, train rides and more!
The 26th Peanut Festival is 8AM-4PM on September 28th, 2024
8am | Race
11am | Parade
8am - 4pm | Food/Arts/Crafts Vendors
9am - 12pm | White House Communications Agency will presenting movie and memorabilia in the Community Center

President Carter’s 100th Birthday in his hometown of Plains, Georgia! | Oct 1, 2024
Happy Birthday, Mister President … Celebrating 100 Years of Jimmy Carter in Plains is a concert celebration of a lifetime. Featuring music by David Osborne, Sandi Patty, Brent Cobb, Cindy Morgan, and Andrew Greer, plus VIP events with Presidential Descendants, Plains folks and family all to celebrate our hometown son. Butterfly Daze and Carter Historical Auction | Aug 16-18, 2024
Join us for a weekend long event celebrating the life and legacy of former First Lady, Rosalynn Carter. Come and stay in Plains for the entire weekend and enjoy an auction preview, an evening at Plains High School, a Rosalynn Carter Memorial Food Distribution, a butterfly release, the 2024 Carter Historical Auction and stay for church at Marantha Baptist Church on Sunday morning!
